Gender Equality stands at the forefront of a global commitment to breaking down barriers, biases, and inequalities that have historically marginalized and disadvantaged women and girls. This goal seeks to create a world where every woman and girl can exercise her rights and live a life free from discrimination, violence, and harmful practices.

Our projects focusses on integrated development of women as it helps in overall socio-economic development. We work on various strategies including skill enhancement through Self Help Group and Vocational Training. We mobilize women of the communities and share livelihood opportunities for them to improve their standard of living. We provide training as per market mapping, trade mapping, life skill sessions, financial literacy, exposure visits, bank and market linkages, create SHG federation and microenterprise.

Location: Daurala, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh

Saksham Naari "सक्षम नारी"

As part of its CSR efforts, DCM Shriram Industries Limited has implemented the Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) program to support women and girls through education on menstrual health, adoption of safe hygiene practices, life skill development, and improved home care. The initiative also plays a vital role in challenging social taboos and creating a more informed, supportive environment for menstrual well-being.

Timeline: 2024 (3 months)

Location : 20 villages in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh

IOCL- MHM

A CSR initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) program has positively impacted women and girls by addressing menstrual hygiene, life skills, safe practices, and home management by addressing the stigma around menstruation.

Swavalamban – Dona/Patta Making Training By HPCL & CII

No. of Beneficiaries: 500+

Beneficiaries : Rural Tribal Candidates

Timeline : Apr-2015-Mar-2016

Location : Madhya Pradesh

Impact : Skill training and market linkage for dona/patta making

Menstrual Hygiene Management Skilling Program

A CSR project in rural tribal areas of Madhya
Pradesh provided skill training and market linkage
for dona/patta making, benefiting 500 participants.
It enabled cooperative production, generating a
daily income of ₹ 250-300 per person. Inspired by its success, similar projects are planned to promote skill development and market opportunities in other rural areas.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

A conference on Menstruation Hygiene Management and Gender Equality was organized in New Delhi, where BBA announced a partnership with ASSOCHAM to train 2 million disadvantaged women and girls in rural areas on menstrual hygiene management, coupled with the distribution of free reusable pads.

The Women Leadership Training Programme was successfully conducted, benefiting a total of 4,725 participants hailing from Mandla, Narsingpur, and nearby rural tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh.

CSR & CORPORATE GIFTING

BBA partnered with Kohler to provide hand-crafted Diwali gifts to all its employees across India. The initiative focused on empowering rural artisans by choosing handmade products, particularly beautiful clay utensils made in Khurja and Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Women from Self Help Groups affiliated with Bal Bharti Academy enthusiastically crafted these gifts, consisting of tea sets and more.
